tjc73 Posted June 30, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 30, 2019 (edited) I know his might seem like an odd question for most, but I am wondering if Celebrity cruise ships (especially the infinity because that’s what I’m sailing on) use a lot of air conditioning. I have cruised on disney many times and they are crazy for air conditioning, it’s unbearable! I am wondering if Celebrity is the same. I am ok with subtle amounts of air conditioning, but when it feels like the arctic on a cruise ship, that’s where I draw the line. Any info is appreciated 🙂 Edited June 30, 2019 by tjc73
cruiserchuck Posted June 30, 2019 #2 Share Posted June 30, 2019 We have never sailed on Disney, but Celebrity does try to keep the interior areas cool, especially in hot weather. I am never cold, but my wife often is, so she brings a jacket/sweater with her when we are indoors.

George C Posted June 30, 2019 #4 Share Posted June 30, 2019 We were on infinity for nine nights in March I thought air was very comfortable the entire cruise . Going on again in February , ship had minor problems but not with air conditioning.
JerseyGirlatHeart Posted June 30, 2019 #5 Share Posted June 30, 2019 I always bring a light sweater/blazer (one that matches everything) and take it with me to the theater/dining room (just in case) ... I tend to get cold easy, but with that said, I don’t always need ... like previous poster my Hubby is usually comfortable.
Rare hcat Posted June 30, 2019 #6 Share Posted June 30, 2019 (edited) We had 2 cruises on Infinity...For the ABC Islands itin, ,no A/C issues. On our Pacific Coastal, we had A/C issues in our AQ cabin ( and our hallway) ..It kept dying and the stateroom got really uncomfortable quickly, esp at night. They did send a repair person each time, but it was very disruptive. Fortunately, it was near the end of our cruise! Older ships sometimes have isolated issues,,. We travel with a sweater, light jacket and zippered sweatshirt..b/c ships are not uniform with A/C and you never know. cocobakerchica Posted June 30, 2019 #7 Share Posted June 30, 2019 If you're air conditioner sensitive, bring a sweater or light jacket to toss over your shoulders(I prefer either a solid neutral color or a pattern that compliments everything I packed). I also pack a pair of thick socks to sleep in, which double as slippers in the room. Better to be prepared.
tjc73 Posted June 30, 2019 Author #8 Share Posted June 30, 2019 Thanks everyone for the feedback. The AC sounds pretty normal on celebrity so that’s great!
