What to do in Houston area while waiting for flight?

We are on Liberty of the Seas, and our flight is not until 6:30 at night.  We are hoping to rent a car and find something to kill some time doing on that last day.  Any suggestions?  We will have luggage, but hopefully can just leave it in the car.  Will have kids 15 and 12.

Unless you just want Houston , I would spend my time in Galveston . There is so much to do and variety and close by to the terminal. You certainly can find desired interests . Houston is spread out with difficulty moving around to different venues .

I believe nasa is pretty close , have been wanting to do that but have not done it.
