Do you remember the photo shoot of the young girls on the Segway’s! 😂 Well, I know that DH certainly will never forget seeing those nude young women as we rounded a corner on Museum Island. After all, Berlin indeed is the center of the contemporary art world! 😁

CintiPam Posted August 6, 2019 #28 Share Posted August 6, 2019 Once we sailed on Marina, we never have returned to Oceania’s “R” ships although we have sailed three times on those same smaller ships on Azamara due to exceptional itineraries. auldlassie Posted August 12, 2019 #29 Share Posted August 12, 2019 I'll add my vote to those for La Sirenuse. Beautiful, luxurious , fantastic staff, view to remember forever. Food is literally as pretty as a picture too, especially the plate of fresh anchovies. I am very much reminded of Rupert Everett's recommendation for the Gritti Palace hotel in Venice (which you can read should you go there) "not at all value for money, but worth every penny. Roccaforte Posted August 15, 2019 #30 Share Posted August 15, 2019 There is an article in the Wall Street Journal this morning about Le Sirenuse. Because of the great views it has become crowded with tourists taking selfies. Since hotel guests have been complaining they have instituted a new policy. The restaurant is now available only to hotel guests and those who have a dining reservation. There is a guard posted to enforce this new rule. So, be sure to make a reservation if you’re planning a visit. We have found this policy in effect also in Capri at Grand Hotel Quisisana.
