Island Princess cabin refurb question

Hmmm. That's a great question. I know that during the refurb they added about 100 cabins. I'm curious to know if all the cabins have been updated as well.

In 2015 we were on the Island in one of the cabins they added and visited friends in non-added cabin and they were not the same.  The main difference in the cabins was the bathrooms.  Added cabin bathroom had square shower with small foot ledge versus rounded shower with no foot ledge and the added cabin bathroom sink was square with newer/modern fixtures versus oval/round sink and older style fixtures.  Two cabin layouts were identical besides that as were the furnishings.  Oh, if memory serves me right the hair dryer was newer and inside a drawer rather than the wall mounted ancient POS normally found on the non-royal class ships.

So, do the bathrooms mimic the Royal Class bathrooms. Also, did the adding of the foot ledge in the shower make it smaller?

I just recently got off the CB and those shower stalls were made for a doll house.  I don't recall those showers being that tiny of any Princess ships.

I I definitely agree with you 100% on the caribbean princess has a shower situation. Best part is I'm small and petite and I noticed it to be a problem.

I was in one of the added cabins with the new bathroom fixtures. I like the roominess of the shower. I don't like the new sink. It's not great for shaving without wasting a lot of hot water. If you have a choice to get one of these cabins at the same price, go for it. I was lucky to be upgraded from an inside guarantee to my cabin on the corridor beside the casino. It's a great location for me since I try to eat all my meals in the dining room and did not go upstairs very often.

Are the older cabins upgraded to the same, or no?

No, they did not rebuild all the bathrooms.  They did install the Princess Bed throughout.

They also refurbed a lot of public areas.  We were fairly impressed with most of those in winter 2018.
