We saw at least some of this on the ship. It was showing on the big screen behind the desk where the IT guy sat in Spirits. Thanks for posting the finished article.

Nope, we did wave the flags from our veranda during the sail out from Ålesund and received the horns in return. The couple on the bridge in Haugesund is probably much more crazy than us. 😂😂

The flag waver was a friend of Captain Johannes.  Apparently did it the last time that the Journey came through.  It was very windy and chilly so must be a good friend!

It was an awesome cruise and Captain Johannes made it even more special.  So much so that we've booked another cruise with him back to Norway in 2021. 

 

That's a great video and one I'll cherish.  We can't wait to go back.
