We were on the Allure in April. It was very crowded. Couldn't get near the rock climbing wall or the flow rider the whole week.

Unless it was very late April, your ship probably included a lot of midwestern families on spring break....early December should be much less crowded!

We were on the Oasis in early Dec 2017 and it was far less crowded as well.  I'm very aware that cruises can vary widely depending on the itinerary and time of year you sail. As we are on the Allure again the first week of Dec, I expect it to be less crowded.

We were on that cruise as well and had a fabulous time! I agree about the first day. It seemed crowded with a lot of people just aimlessly wandering. I have to agree about the service too. We had some of the best service. Everyone was VERY friendly. There were TONS of large groups traveling. Some were friendly and some not so much.

Glad you had a great trip!

Thanks for the review. I leave on Sunday. Do you happen to know the table minimums for Ultimate Texas Holdem and 3 Card Poker?

$10 at all tables.  They do lower it to $5 from 12 to 1 on sea days.

Another casino question. Was the casino open while in Labadee, specifically slots?

Casino was open every day except San Juan when it opened at 3pm.  Slots were open 24/7.  I went in one morning, Labadee, and it was empty.  I tried to play but the machines weren’t working.  I told a service person and he said they had to reboot.

Very surprised that casino was open in Labadee AND St Maarten.

I am surprised too but happy to hear that!
