RickinStl Posted August 6, 2019 #1 Share Posted August 6, 2019 For those that have sailed her recently; Did you all stay on ship time or did the captain adjust for time zone changes? We're in port form 0700-1500. Im wondering what time that would be on the ship.. Please help lol
Clarea Posted August 6, 2019 #2 Share Posted August 6, 2019 The port times shown on pre-cruise itineraries are supposed to be local times. The Captain may or may not change ship time.

The Captain may or may not change ship time. I thought that itineraries were also on ship time from original port of embarkation. And while the Captain has discretion, there's usually only a change if overnighting in a port; typical for Bermuda as an example. It could be possible that Costa Maya may warrant a time change to local time. But only an hour difference from Eastern time now. After DST change, the times are the same. CM is in UTC-5:00 all year round. Same as Cozumel.
Vacation Lover1 Posted August 7, 2019 #4 Share Posted August 7, 2019 Stay on ship time! We were on Harmony last week and left someone in Costa Maya! All aboard time was 2:30 ship time/1:30 Costa Maya time (they're pretty clear about that, with reminders on the loudspeaker and also a note in your cabin.) They waited and pulled the gang way up about 3:10 and the guy came running up a few minutes later but it was too late. When you leave Port Canaveral, set your phone to NYC/Eastern time so it doesn't change when you get to a port in a different time zone.
