Weather in New Zealand in March

We will be on the Solstice leaving from Auckland March 10th going by way of Picton, Akaroa, Dunedin and the Sounds. What can we expect for temperatures to help plan on what to pack?    Thanks

NZ weather is always variable. At that time of year it is often very pleasant, although it will be warmer in Auckland than in Dunedin. Pack layers, including a warm sweater or fleece, a rainproof jacket, and a warm hat, scarf and gloves as the scenic cruising through Fiordland can be surprisingly chilly, especially in the morning.
