Okinawa overbooked all year?

Just got an email that on our 9/20/20 Cruise on Radiance out of Tokyo has been forced to not stop at Okinawa due to overcrowding.  Another Japan port is being substituted, and as an added bonus we will be spending an additional two hours in....wait for it......Hong Kong.  The stop in HK is now listed as 7 AM to 11:59 PM.  Our 2/24/20 Cruise on Quantum had previously dropped Okinawa for the same reason, adding two ports in Vietnam at No additional charge except the Vietnam visa thing.

                     So that is 7 months difference, but the Okinawa port problems are the same.  If you have Okinawa listed as a POC I would expect an itinerary change.  For me it gives another reason (excuse) to cruise the Pacific in 2021 or whenever Okinawa is available again.  At least the changes were made many months before final payment is due.

Happens, sad when effects you. But over years have had dozens Port changes/Cancellations and time changes. Medical, Weather, Mechanical, Earth Quake and Civil War.

Do you happen to know what piers are being used on Okinawa?  White Sands has room for like one.. but the security there would be ‘fun’

No piers are being used by RCI at Okinawa, that is the point.  The only explaination is too crowded.

Hmmm...just wondering if the very popular, 4/25/2021, Ovation, Singapore to Tokyo......with a stop in Okinawa (Naha) will be affected?  Thank you.
