I’ve just read an excellent article in the British newspaper, www.theguardian.com.

Search for the car free coast articles for Dorset, and there is a very useful and interesting article on what to see and do in Portland, UK.

Ive seen a few requests for information on cruise ship calls to Portland, and this should be helpful.

Couldnt find an easy link, but a search engine will hopefully find the page.

that is  a really good article and great for anyone spending a few days in Dorset

 

however for a port day will only be able to do a fraction

 

we recently did a tour with Dorset Day Tours with Daren in his VW camper van and covered both coast and country over a port day

 

he books up quickly and well recommended

Im sure it will provide some inspiration for anyone with a cruise stop in Portland.

We don’t live all that far away, and it’s certainly tempting me to potter down for a look around.
