Just wondering what policies kick in when a cruise is extended because of a weather or mechanical event. Does your PBP and SDP and internet package end after the original disembarkation date? Can the MDRs handle the crowds if people choose not to dine in the specialty restaurants. I imagine no further DSC is collected so do the staff get short changed? Is daily programming/entertainment etc still scheduled?

So far on the Breakaway, they extended the beverage package where the last time this happened they didn't according to staff. Dining packages are only for X nights so you would probably keep the nights you had left if any.  They're handing out new keys to one deck of people at a time, not sure how the keys look yet as far as UDP and BEV package go. Spa is still opened to ua.

Not just policies for PBP or SDP or WiFi.... but this a great time opportunity to re enforce the importance of trip insurance.  Bake it into the cost of your vacation and be have one less thing to worry about (the financial impact post cruise)....... even with comped CAS cruises I always get trip insurance as it isn't just the cost of the impacted cruise fare.

Beverage packages remain in effect, SDP should already be used, but if you have nights left they will honor them. Collecting DSC has nothing to do with salaries, those fees go to NCL not the crew. They  fund some crew activities, but the crew is paid a wage that is not dependent on DSC.
