jelayne Posted September 2, 2019 #4 Share Posted September 2, 2019 Since your question relates to a port not Celebrity you should post this on the Ports of Call forum - lots of info there.
Wine-O Posted September 2, 2019 #5 Share Posted September 2, 2019 There is a tram that goes up to San Cristóbal de La Laguna. I researched it several years ago, but haven't a clue today. I know you have to take a port bus from the pier to the port entrance. From there you could ask for directions or do a google search. 🍷
cheeseclan Posted September 5, 2019 #6 Share Posted September 5, 2019 Can’t help you with your question. But I can tell you we loved Tenerife. We had our 2 week honeymoon there 35 years ago. I am sure a lot has changed.... Enjoy!!
the plodders Posted September 5, 2019 #7 Share Posted September 5, 2019 The port authorities usually provide a free shuttle from where you dock to the port exit. It is only about a 5 minute walk from there to the tram, or Tranvia as we call it in Tenerife. It is best to ask when you get off the shuttle. You want the stop called Fundacion. You must buy a ticket before you get on as if an inspector gets on there are big fines. There are ticket machines at the stops and people are always willing to help you. You just need a return (Ida y vuelta). You punch the ticket in the machine when you enter the tram. Stay on until the terminus in La Laguna and it is about a 5 minute walk to the town. Follow the other people. It is a lovely old town to stroll through. Hope this helps. Sue
