Blackout curtains in stateroom????

Hello! I’ll be travelling on the Eclipse in only a week! Just wondering if anyone has any insights on how well the stateroom curtains block out the light. Are the curtains like most hotel curtains that are blackout? Or are they flimsy and do a poor job at blocking light?

Im asking as my son won’t wear a sleep mask and is highly sensitive to light in the room. Contemplating bringing a blackout curtain if necessary.

Extra info in case that matters: regular veranda (not concierges or aqua), eclipse has not had its “revolution” yet.

They are blackout curtains.  I always bring a couple of clothespins to close any gaps.

Trick I learned here on CC, use the hangars in the closet with the clips to hold the curtains shut, works for hotel rooms as well!
