Poker on liberty

Does the liberty have a poker table?  If so what are the buy ins and limits to their games and average stacks of players to start. 

 

We have only done carnival in the past and they have the awful video hold em tables with mega rakes.

They have one but you have to sign up and hope that they get enough players.  Sorry - no more info.  We play ultimate tx hold em but recall that they would try to have a regular going.

This seems to be a place RCCL is lacking across the board, no matter the ship.  Would like to see a dedicated HoldEm table always.  Oh well.

Very hard to get a game going on most RCL ships. Rake is normally 10% of the pot with a max rake per hand of $25. Game is normally 2 - 5 no limit with a 200 - 500 buy in I believe. Or 1 - 2 no limit if the table agrees with a 60 - 300 buy in. Most ships from what I recall are hand dealt by a live dealer. If there is interest they also have  cruise long tournament with a $100 buy in and $50 add ons, 2,000 chips for the buy in and the add on, also rebuys at $ 50 a pop when your stack is 2,000 or less and you get an additional 2,000. Final day is the final table with a cruise to the winner if there were enough entries. Top player from each daily tournament goes to the final I believe. They certainly do not announce the availability of  poker table enough that is for sure, at least not on the ships I sail on.

Thanks.  Buy ins are about the same as the casinos in St. Louis then.

The poker tourney on the Anthem year before last was a complete joke.  The dealer actually didn't know the rules of the game.  Seriously.  They ended up giving money back, which we all know RCCL loves to do.  We book though the casino and this is our number one comment when asked to do a survey.

Agreed.  You have to watch the dealers like a hawk.  Most couldn't read the hands once you showed it.  Others forgetting to burn cards.  They never knew who's action it was.  I wish they had a better poker game.  Wife is an early to bed type and I would love to sit at a game.  Don't get me started on the rake, it makes it unplayable.

On Liberty a couple of years ago, the dealer at our 3 card poker table was either drunk or just a mess. The same wins were paid out differently, hands that weren’t wins were paid as wins, and there was zero interaction between dealer and players!  Definitely not like any land based casino we’ve ever been in.

Yup.  Same for us.  It's a shame really.  There is interest and money to be made but nope.

I had a blackjack dealer on Ovation that scooped my money on a win. I was raising my hand and pointing and he saw what he did. The poker table was dead the few times I looked. I watched the tournament for a few minutes but they were playing shove fold

I’d rather not play than get into a game that’s shove or fold.

It made no sense, at first I thought it might be a cash game. There were at least 5 players and none of the bets made sense based on stack / position
