Jacaluke Posted September 14, 2019 #1 Share Posted September 14, 2019 We will be docking in Auckland on Monday the 20/1/20 at 7am and our return flight to Australia leaves at 10am - just wondering if this gives us enough time to get from the port to the airport to catch our flight. If anybody has been in this position before I would love to know how it worked out for them - thank-you.
Creekside89 Posted September 15, 2019 #2 Share Posted September 15, 2019 I think you would be cutting it very fine. That’s why I booked the 2pm flight in March. And so did everyone else. The flight was full. Another couple we met got off first, customs, shuttle, peak hour traffic etc and got to the airport at around 8.30- 8.45am and they were on the 2pm flight as well. Rare erewhon Posted September 15, 2019 #3 Share Posted September 15, 2019 At the end of a cruise, we would not attempt a 10 am flight out of Auckland, not even for a domestic flight. Our advice would be to book an afternoon flight. You never know if the ship will be late arriving into port.
Kiwi Kruzer Posted September 16, 2019 #4 Share Posted September 16, 2019 You need to check in 2 hrs before your flight... traffic will also be heavy at that time.
Rare Keith1010 Posted September 18, 2019 #5 Share Posted September 18, 2019 Oh don't do this. Way too risky and that includes late arrival, delay in disembarkation and even traffic. We were last in Auckland a few months ago and they were doing a lot of construction downtown. If you can change your flight I would. Keith
