I've been to Hong Kong about 11 times and I don't remember any mosquitoes in the cities but yes when hiking the many trails in the parks.  And I mean wilderness parks; not city parks.  I guess it depends on where you are going exactly.

I lived in Sek Kong many decades ago when I was a nipper. I remember that we had mosquito nets over our beds and across the windows.

But Sek Kong is in the New Territories - back then very rural, now semi-rural.

 

We've been back twice since, in Kowloon & on the island, both times in January - no mosquitos :classic_smile:
