Transportation in Mobile

I have a 1:00pm flight out of Mobile Airport. What is the best way to get from the port to the airport. Taxi, Uber, or Carnival shuttle.  I have posted this a couple of times on the Gulf Coast port board but have not received any suggestions.

My mother just cruised from Mobile and was unhappy with the taxi situation, so she took the Carnival shuttle to the airport when she went home. I don't think she set her Uber app up, so I can't comment on that.

We used Modern Limousine round trip between the airport and the port.  For 2 of us it was less expensive than a taxi or Carnival shuttle.

This might not be what you are looking for but it is definitely the cheapest option:

 

there is a municipal bus that stops within 5 minutes walk of the port

if your luggage is on wheels it is a flat terrain on city streets and very doable

 

you will need to transfer buses at a mall as well and the bus drops you right at the terminal

 

you have time to kill with a 1PM flight so it could be an option for the $1.25 fare for adults 75 cents for kids

We sailed out of Mobile in August. We parked off site (SpotHero) for $30 for the 5 days and used Uber and it was very easy. I would reccomend Uber.
