DH swears by his daily G2 (Gatorade), but when we sail he has come to accept Powerade instead.

I love the G2 plus it’s less sugar. I found individual packs of G2 powder on Amazon. I’m taking it with me on cruise this Monday. I dehydrated easily this I can stick in my pocket just add to bottle of water.

Both are nasty and overloaded with electrolytes and sugar.

I use a product designed for industrial heat stress issues.  Lower in sodium, high in potassium, and overall lower in electrolytes so you body can more readily absorb it.   The package I use is NO sugar.  One package is added to one bottle of water (500 - 600 ml bottle), shake, drink.

It is called Sqwincher, and the version I use is the Quik Stik.  Available from Amazon.

I am a bit confused, why you need electrolyte replacement for dehydration, and not just water?  But I find this makes the water easier to drink.  I especially appreciated carrying it in Djibouti last July.  When it was 120 degrees.
