When QV had its refit and the aft was squared off/extended, the deck 8 aft suites were renewed and all 5 became Q4s. They were fitted out in the dark wood style like the Q1s on decks 6 and 7.

Decks 4 and 5 were left alone and just had soft furnishings updated and are still Q5/Q6s and have deep balconies, although those on deck 5 are now much more covered due to the lengthening/extension of deck 6.

QE's deck 8 are still Q5/Q6s.

Although the QV deck plan shows the Deck 8 QG suites as Q4s, I can confirm that when booking these it comes up as Q6.

On my first QV voyage I was in a Q5 midship, I believe on Deck 7.  It had a minimal amount of storage then and I had to stack empty suitcases next to the bed.

Can Bigmike or anyone else tell me whether the luggage storage space is still skimpy in a QV Q4 on Deck 7?

I was in a Q4 last October and it's essentially the small square walk in plus some draws under two shelves. Fine for one, two is crowded.

Plus drawers under the beds - which I must admit I've never used.

I am told that there is now storage under the beds which seems logical. Since my first experience I have booked a suite with suitable storage for my two other trips on QV. I am now a Queen Mary2 devotee and don't book on the smaller ships.
