Costa Maya pool

Does anyone know if the pool at the port of Costa Maya is baby friendly? My  daughter will be 10 months old when we travel, I'm thinking it's best to avoid the beaches because of all the seaweed and just use the pool at the port if they allow babies with a swim diaper on.

I don't recall seeing any babies in it, did not look for any signs.  But I also don't believe there is a shallow area...all at least chest deep.  But I didn't actually get in, just dangled my feet.  EM

Maybe get a water sling for her before you go? Then you can take her in and she can splash a bit but also protect her with your body.

when are you traveling? We've been to Costa Maya in November, December and April, and there was no seaweed. We went to Blue Kay and enjoyed ourselves very much. Lovely beach, very laid back, $12 per adult includes a chaise in the shade and any 2 drinks.

 

I'd bring a small inflatable pool for her if you decide to stay by the port swimming pool.

 

You can also go look at the dolphins and the flamingos right there at the port.

 

I found the music blasting around the pool and the bar area to be extremely loud.

We will be there in February. I'm so torn because I've read reviews about how beautiful the beaches are and then others where they couldn't even go in the water... But thanks for the advice! Omg yes!! we will be checking out the flamingos and dolphins 🙂

Seaweed may not even be present when you are there....it's entirely "tide dependent"....if there was a storm to stir it up, it can float onto any beach at any time.
