Switch rooms no charge?

Recommended Posts

I know I’ve seen this asked before, but can’t remember the answer.

I am 140 days out.  Current price of rooms in my category is $500 higher.  I realized I’d rather try a room in a different area of the ship, but same room category.  Can I call and switch rooms for free, or would they make me reprice at the current higher rate?

I tried this a while back and they were going to make me pay the difference.  It was literally the same class 4B to a 4B, same deck, same everything except a different side.  The prices had gone up several hundred dollars from when I booked and they wanted me to pay the difference.

This depends on what market you booked, whether cabin was part of a GTY or Royal Up offer and the CSR rep you get. It also may change with the times, but generally it is allowed.
