Velvet dinner show on the breakaway

Has anyone been to this dinner show? Is it worth the price of admission? Disco era music, is it just singing? Traveling in 2 weeks with a group of friends new to NCL and we are trying to decide whether or not to book once on board.

Saw it on the Breakaway last week.  Very talented performers and a “ton” of fun.  Yes, it’s based on disco music....singing, dancing, acrobatics.

Show was great, food not so much

Hated it!  Food was the worst on the ship!  Show was so stupid, made zero sense, and believe it or not, I actually fell asleep at the table!  Wine Lovers, however, was great!

Thank You!!!  Ok , so definitely don’t go for the food, and mixed reviews on the show. Guess we can go if not hungry and in the mood for disco 😊

Actually, my steak was cooked well and it was tasty.  Was it the best on board?  No!  Was it good enough that I ate it all?  Absolutely.

 

The show....if your don’t like disco at all, then you won’t like the show.  But, you do have to admire the acrobatics, the dancing and the singing.  The performers were phenomenal.

Thank You for taking the time to review! We are going to play it by ear once we board and book our other shows. I have attended the cirque show and the food is probably very similar, not the worst but if you are expecting specialty dining ,you will be disappointed. Love music from all era’s , so would probably enjoy this! There is always a lot of talent on board!!

Based on graphicguy 's detailed review of his recent cruise and other CC feedback I have read, I am going to book it for my upcoming cruise. It sounds fun!

We were on the Breakaway Eastern Caribbean 9/22-9/29. We did not like it at all! Story line was hard to follow and the pre-selected meal was just ok. Honestly, least favorite thing we did on our cruise.
