Ocean Medallion will it arrive in time?

Is the Regal Princess medallions sent or do we get them at the port in Fort Lauderdale. My concern is that MIL and FIL will be cruising with us on Regal Princess in January.  They live in Michigan but are snowbirds from early December to April and will be in Florida for our cruise in January.  Since they have their mail  forwarded from Michigan to their Florida address will they get their medallion in time for our cruise?

I would change the address the medallion gets sent to.

You should receive 2 weeks prior to cruise. With the turn around on the current mail it sounds complicated. I’d feel

more comfortable updating the address so there isn’t a trip to Michigan.

If your medallion goes astray in the mail...

And you show up at the port to board, without a medallion...

Wouldn't they simply give you a new medallion?

Given Princess' spectacular service implementing the medallion, I'm sure that has

already happened at least once...

I wouldn’t know, have not experienced that, but if you know ahead of time, why not be proactive?

We were worried about the same thing as we are also snowbirds and frequently take cruises out of Ft. Lauderdale.  When ordering the medallion, you enter the address you want the medallions sent to.   It does not change your main address with Princess.  Also, don't plan on them being forwarded by the US post office, as our Medallions for our British Isles cruise this summer came via Fed Ex (and I think we had to sign for them so we left a Fed Ex signature form I got off the internet on our door...and the delivery was coming down the wire the day before we were leaving for Europe and only 4 days before the cruise).

Have their medallions sent to your address and bring theirs with you when you go.  You can indicate you prefer to pick them up at the port as well.  Your choice...  FedEx and UPS and DHL wont do 'mail forwarding' to Florida.
