The worst exchange rate is through your bank, which is a third party exchange. When you get off the ship you can exchange at any reputable ATM with exact exchange rates.

Exactly, just go to an ATM machine once you are off the ship.

 

When we were there in 2016 most places took cards, the ferry to the beaches took $US, a crappy rate but it was cheap to begin with so we had no problem over paying $0.95!
