Martinique and Euros

Will there be a source of Euros on the Pride for use on Martinique?

you have to obtain Euros from your bank before you leave home.  Ships no longer exchange money (as far as I know)

I was able to use a no fee foreign transaction card for a rum purchase on an excursion. Some of the smaller shops did take US dollars...exchange rate wasn't great but was convenient.

The worst exchange rate is through your bank, which is a third party exchange. When you get off the ship you can exchange at any reputable ATM with exact exchange rates.

Exactly, just go to an ATM machine once you are off the ship.

 

When we were there in 2016 most places took cards, the ferry to the beaches took $US, a crappy rate but it was cheap to begin with so we had no problem over paying $0.95!

And don't forget that you now need a passport to get off the ship in Martinique.

I would get them from your bank in advance. I don’t remember seeing any banks or ATMs in the Martinique port area.   There are some tents with souvenirs being sold inside but no big terminal.
