BuckeyeMark Posted November 13, 2019 #1 Share Posted November 13, 2019 In port from 8-5 but heading out at 9 on the Chachoben (sp?) Ruins tour with Native Choice. That puts us back in town around 1 with a couple of hours to kill. We don't want to go do a beach thing or do bars. What I'd like is a recommendation on coffee shop (preferably not the Green Mermaid - we have those in Dallas!) and/or a Mexican chocolate shop with authentic Mayan chocolate. Anybody got any suggestions for something along these lines or other ideas for a few hours in Costa Maya?
Rare crewsweeper Posted November 13, 2019 #2 Share Posted November 13, 2019 Try Karlita's along the malecon at Calle Martillo near Ibiza Sunset and before YaYas if walking south. Good coffee and pastries. Inside the port complex is Kakaw Chocolate, free samples to taste on way out to Native Choice.
Rare SRQbeachgirl Posted November 16, 2019 #3 Share Posted November 16, 2019 Kakaw Chocolate is definitely worth a visit. We brought several chocolate bars home after sampling their selections.
