cole'snana Posted November 26, 2019 #1 Share Posted November 26, 2019 Does anyone know which of Holland's shore excursions goes to Blue Bay Beach? It has been mentioned that there is an excursion there, but no mention of the name. Thank you.
purplephenom Posted November 26, 2019 #2 Share Posted November 26, 2019 I've never cruised on Holland America (We are Carnival cruisers), but it looks to be the Curacao Beach Express excursion. The verbiage is the same as Carnival's listing. I've pasted the link below but not sure if it'll work or have you search for it again. We loved Blue Bay, hope you enjoy! https://www.hollandamerica.com/en_US/shore-excursions/CUR/16420.html

cole'snana Posted December 20, 2019 Author #4 Share Posted December 20, 2019 We're back from our cruise. The Holland excursion Beach Express did go to Blue Bay. Nice snorkeling, clean beach and bathrooms. On the way the guide Emmy gave us history of the island and we even got to see the flamingos. Would go on this excursion again. I would do this excursion again on any day but Saturday or Sunday. Just be aware that weekends will be very busy with locals and homeowners (it is the main beach inside a housing development), as well as ship excursions. On a recent Sunday excursion from Celebrity, and in spite of the guarantee of a sun bed, people had to wander up and down the beach and wait for someone to leave in order to get a place to sit. I'll be in Curacao next month, unfortunately again on a Sunday, so I have opted to spend the day at a private resort instead. The cost is much more, but I will not need to fight the masses for my day under the palm trees.
