markpark Posted December 2, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 2, 2019 There is a referendum on December 19, 2019 to disapprove a plan to build a dock in Georgetown. The Port Authority is against it apparently. A dock will bring larger cruise ships but will intentionally destroy coral reef. It will also destroy the tendering industry. The Vote No movement is vocal. What think you?
lifes-a-beach Posted December 3, 2019 #2 Share Posted December 3, 2019 First of all, I think it's none of my business since I don't live there. It is for the residents there to decide. In any case, the vote has been delayed. https://www.caymancompass.com/2019/12/03/port-referendum-delayed/
