CruisinMT Posted December 17, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 17, 2019 First time for my wife and I cruising with Celebrity. We are on the Equinox in January. I upgraded to the Drinks and More package, and as I have been able to discern from other posts here, there will be four wine bottles delivered to my room automatically, my in-room mini bar is included and will be restocked daily (both of us purchased the package), and we each will get $50 in casino credit. My question is how do we claim the casino credit upon boarding? Is it automatic or do we have to go to Guest Services or the Casino to make sure it has been applied? Will it show up in the Celebrity app at some point? Thanks for any input! I don't want to take up space at Guest Services if it is just a matter of waiting for it to happen automatically. Bo1953 Posted December 17, 2019 #2 Share Posted December 17, 2019 c - Welcome and I believe it will be on your seapass. Rather that is immediately or later in the day is a question for those who have used the package. bon voyage
CruisinMT Posted December 17, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted December 17, 2019 Thank you! I assume the Sea Pass balance is view-able in the app? I don't gamble much so probably won't use the credit until after the first day anyway. Just curious at what point should I be concerned if I don't see it. If your question is specific to the $50 casino credit, you just need to go to the cashier's desk in the Casino and they add the $50 to your card (promo play) for the machines or they give you $50 in promo chips if you want to play it on the tables.
CruisinMT Posted December 17, 2019 Author #5 Share Posted December 17, 2019 Yes, my question is just about the casino credits for my wife and I that are part of the upgrade to Drinks and More. Thanks for the heads up! I'll stop by the casino once they open then.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll stop by the casino once they open then. Please report back when you arrive home, if you don’t mind. ☺️ We too are first time Celebrity cruisers and hope everything goes smoothly as we too booked this new package. Ive read a few posts where the stateroom hosts aren’t familiar with this package (yet) and had to be reminded to continually restock the fridge, they were only given two bottles ( instead of 4) and had to show proof of the details of the package and the wine tasting passes were not in the room or on their seapass card and was missed altogether. They were also told that Is was ONE$50 casino credit and had to spend the time, again, to show proof of the package inclusions. This was when the package was first released as reported by a few different posters. I’ve personally called customer service to make sure that , yes in fact it is $50 per person. I too do not want to line up at guest services asking for things to be added that should already be there or convince stateroom hosts that we purchased something . Hoping that by the time you cruise all the wrinkles will be ironed out! Enjoy your cruise!
CruisinMT Posted December 18, 2019 Author #7 Share Posted December 18, 2019 Yes, I’ve seen those struggles in other posts also. I know it’s a new program so hopefully it goes smoothly by mid January. I will definitely follow up and let everyone know how it went. The only thing I hadn’t seen yet was how to claim the casino credit so I was hoping someone that had purchased the package could clarify.
HFX Posted December 18, 2019 #8 Share Posted December 18, 2019 Is there a wine list that you can choose from? Or is it just the ones from the premium package. Are the bottles of wine for your stateroom or can you have in the MDR?
CruisinMT Posted December 18, 2019 Author #9 Share Posted December 18, 2019 Not sure, but I'll try to get the details and post a full report when back unless someone else beats me too it :)
Clock_8 Posted December 18, 2019 #10 Share Posted December 18, 2019 My wife and I are currently on the Summit and we both have the D&M package. You will need to go to the casino desk with your sea pass and photo ID to receive the credit. Fridge is stocked daily. We received one bottle of red, and one white. We haven't tried to drink them in the MDR, as your wine by the glass is included. TIP: we have had good luck having the sommelier bring wine based on our dinner selection; maybe getting stuff that is not on the "by the glass" list? Will try to post labels of the bottles received later.

DebInAntigua Posted December 19, 2019 #13 Share Posted December 19, 2019 We had Drinks & More on the Silhouette and the Edge. On the Silhouette, we were given casino cards in the stateroom, in an envelope. We had to take them the casino cashier. On Edge it was loaded on our seapasses automatically and we still had to go to the cashier to get chips for table play. Not sure if you have to do anything special to play slots or if we could have just gone straight to the machines with our seapass.

kmurph22 Posted December 20, 2019 #17 Share Posted December 20, 2019 Hi, does anyone know, what is the cost to upgrade onboard from the Premium Package to the Drinks & More package?
CruisinMT Posted December 20, 2019 Author #18 Share Posted December 20, 2019 My understanding is that it isn’t available on board. It can only be purchased prior to cruise.
CruisinMT Posted December 20, 2019 Author #19 Share Posted December 20, 2019 Oh, and my cost to upgrade was 9pp pd. Not sure if that is a sale price or not.
kmurph22 Posted December 20, 2019 #20 Share Posted December 20, 2019 Thanks @cruisinMT. It's not showing up in my planner as an available upgrade. But $9 pp/pd isn't bad, if we're each getting $50 casino credit. I cruise on Jan 5 so will share my experience!
CruisinMT Posted December 20, 2019 Author #21 Share Posted December 20, 2019 Yea, total cost was 63 each for 7 days, and with the casino credit and stateroom mini bar it was a no brainer. It just showed up in my cruise planner one day. I believe the week after Thanksgiving. I think I have read in some other threads that they are limiting the number of upgrades they sell on each cruise for now. Probably want to see if it works out financially for them.
executive44 Posted December 20, 2019 #22 Share Posted December 20, 2019 Please clarify for me...does each person in the cabin who purchases the upgrade receive the casino credits ($100 total) and two bottles of wine (4 total)?
CruisinMT Posted December 20, 2019 Author #23 Share Posted December 20, 2019 That’s the way it is supposed to work. I have read several posts about people only getting two bottles of wine between a couple, the ship trying to give only 50 casino credit total between a couple. But the terms of the upgrade are pretty clear and the the only requirement to have two people is for the free mini bar in the stateroom. Otherwise this is advertised as a per person purchase and benefit. So should get 4 bottles of wine, 100 casino credit, two wine tastings per couple. jrs101 Posted December 22, 2019 #24 Share Posted December 22, 2019 I’m on a four night and it’s letting me book $36 per person to upgrade for the entire trip. So, with the $50 each for the casino, I’ve already won. We already have the 4 perks and oodles of OBC and don’t drink. So we’ll give the wine away. But I can’t pass a deal like this. Can anyone, see anywhere in the T&Cs where it won’t work? I’ll let you know how it goes.
