Seems no sewage was released. People peeing in the pool/ocean or putting their babies in a pool without a swim diaper (gross - but have seen it many times on cruises -not just CCL) might be worse. If it's coming from Fox News, I pay attention but verify from other sources. If it's coming from CNN, I pay attention but verify from other sources. If it's on Cruise Critic, I pay attention then wait for Chenpk75 for the REAL story. He has commented on this story on another thread. Basically, according to Chengpk75, this story is "technically" correct, the water discharged was harmless to people and environment. However, it should not have been discharged and does need to be corrected. 2
Organized Chaos Posted January 3, 2020 #5 Share Posted January 3, 2020 The article literally quoted the director of communications for Port Canaveral who said it wasn't a threat to the environment or wildlife. If the leadership at the port aren't worried about an accidental spillage/dumping that happened at their port, then it obviously wasn't something to be concerned about. I didn't need a CC user, no matter who they are or what their job is, to tell me that.

An adult discharging a diarrhea in the pool. They emptied the pool and washed it and then refilled it. That is gross and no excuse for it at all. Dumped into the sea? I would imagine well diluted.
