jeno Posted January 10, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2020 I have a large amount of OBC, both refundable and nonrefundable. I do not anticipate using it all. I am a Blackjack player. If I go to the Blackjack table and buy chips using my ship account, can I use both refundable and nonrefundable OBC? Thanks!
EDDY0827 Posted January 10, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 10, 2020 "Officially"? No. But... Rumor has it that what you want to do is possible.
skynight Posted January 10, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 10, 2020 (edited) Yes, you can charge the purchase of chips to your on board account and the purchase will net against any credit balance. Play away. Edited January 10, 2020 by skynight

Play away. I think that once in the past (I think it was Princess) you could buy chips with OBC, but they were a different color than the chips bought with cash or regular credit. You had to actually play them and win regular chips that you could trade in for cash. You could not trade the OBC chips in for cash. Does this sound familiar to anyone? When you charge the purchase of chips to your account you receive live chips. I have done this personally for a number of years the last time being August 2019. The casino does expect you to play win or lose. They don't want you to just purchase the chips and then walk away to the cashier.

"Anything" charged to your shipboard account will draw from any OBC in your account.

Then I can buy chips to play craps .Then take them to the cashier & cash in my total chips & the original amount which I bought would be shown on my ,on board account .Is this my correct understanding ?
