dlphn501 Posted January 17, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2020 I will have my 8 and 13 y/o daughters, and I don't like a over abundance of crowds. Which beach would be better for those circumstances?
Debzee53 Posted January 25, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 25, 2020 Eagle Beach is definitely less crowded. We just returned from Aruba and enjoyed a trip to Eagle Beach. We've also been to Palm Beach before and found it much busier since it is in the high rise hotel area.
cb at sea Posted January 26, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 26, 2020 Really, it's a "either/or"...you won't want to be in the sun for more than a couple hours, anyway...the sun in Aruba is absolutely FIERCE. A couple hours, and it's time to call it a day as far as beaches go!
bonsai3s Posted January 28, 2020 #4 Share Posted January 28, 2020 Agree with Debzee53...Eagle's Beach is not as busy as Palms Beach. Note: Eagle's Beach, if you go by bus (Arubus...$5 roundtrip) is often where cruise passengers go to and is closer to town. Perhaps you'll consider Palms Beach (next bus stop) IF there are more than one ship docked. In addition to the sun, it can also be windy. Happy Sailing! cleobella Posted January 28, 2020 #5 Share Posted January 28, 2020 We find Eagle Beach is quieter, less commercial, good for a beach type day. Palm Beach is more active, lively, more commercial and there are souvenir stores and restaurants all over. Our choice for a nice beach day would be Eagle Beach, which is quite a long beach. TorontoSailor Posted January 28, 2020 #6 Share Posted January 28, 2020 If you don't like crowds and a built-up area, definitely go for Eagle Beach. Not much to do there except sun and sand. If you enjoy people watching and a bit of action, plus watersports and other amenities, go to Palm Beach. Both are super easy to get to on public transit.
