skiiergirl Posted January 20, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2020 What are the various methods/companies to get from Madrid to Barcelona? I know the train is an option for others but it won’t work for us as we will have too much luggage. (We can’t travel with less luggage for personal reasons.) Please list any methods/companies, etc you have experience with or researched. please list method, company, cost, time of departure, amount of transit times, etc. Any and all info greatly appreciated!!! rhank you! Twickenham Posted January 20, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 20, 2020 I would have thought that the only realistic alternative to the train would be to fly.
Cienfuegos Posted January 20, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 20, 2020 My wife and I have used ship sticks in the past. In addition to golf clubs, they handle luggage. Reliable. International. Many hotels and most resorts will accept their delivery.

Yes, air or train would make the most sense. Other alternatives are: drive (car rental) or bus. https://www.alsa.com/en/web/bus/home https://www.eurolines.eu/ I imagine a private transfer would be quite costly. You could see if a rideshare is a possibility with this company: https://www.blablacar.es/
hkto Posted January 22, 2020 #5 Share Posted January 22, 2020 Alsa (bus) has 30 kg luggage limit. Blablacar is probably not a good idea unless one speaks fluent Spanish and can work out logistics. Easiest thing is to rent a car.
