K&TsMom Posted January 25, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 25, 2020 Received an email for an offer to book with a Carnival Players Club Premier offer. Has anyone used this and was the extra money worth the perks you received
crdtrnr Posted January 25, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 25, 2020 The cost of the cruise is comparable to other rates, but you get perks for booking a premier. The cocktail party, the gifts, Drinks on us in the casino, special drawings and slot tournament, not to mention the Fun Play. The down side is that a lot of the drawings are at times that would interfere with other things you might want to do (Movies on deck, shows, etc.). Also, the casino is very crowded, due to the casino offer. Its up to you on whether or not you spend a lot of time there if its worth while. Hoosierpop Posted January 25, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 25, 2020 Extra money? My offers have been cheaper than what I would have otherwise paid, so the perks make it that much better. The drinks on us alone is worth a good bit if you drink. Only reason I wouldn’t take it is I don’t have enough vacation to go on a cruise.
K&TsMom Posted January 25, 2020 Author #4 Share Posted January 25, 2020 It’s only a couple hundred more as it can be applied to the current booking we have for June 2020. Our rate was lower because we have been booked for awhile now. I was unable to get FTTF so I was thinking the priority boarding would cover what I missed without the FTTF. javajunkie59 Posted January 25, 2020 #5 Share Posted January 25, 2020 Sounds like the offer my sis got a month ago. Got till March 3 to use. Her offer was a $100.00 per person for an interior room and free drinks in the casino. Looking to book a 15 day San Diego to Hawaii. Total cost per person is $557.00 That's total cost with taxes, port fees, gratuity, and Carnival insurance. Saw online the normal cost of an interior room for that same cruise. BIG savings. Makes up for the money she lost in the casino on her last cruise in November. Hope she takes me along on the HI cruise.

Well, for me, the drinks on us card is worth a couple hundred. Plus the priority boarding. And are they giving you casino cash?

Read that carefully. It usually says when you qualify.
hurricane0226 Posted January 26, 2020 #8 Share Posted January 26, 2020 Premier cruises are so much fun, the DOU card is worth it, but also, they have drawings to win kool prizes, I won a captains table event, and also' won fee money, anytime I can go on a Premier, I try to go. MaryZ Posted January 26, 2020 #9 Share Posted January 26, 2020 We get $500 cash, drink cards for the two of us, gifts, and fairly deep discounts on cabins. Our balcony in sept was approx $600 with taxes. We've gotten free interiors and sailed on those too. Our ultra was about the same cost for the balcony. But better prizes. If I'm going to cruise Carnival, I like they actually basically pay for us to do it. Besides their cruises are fun to go on.
didugger Posted January 26, 2020 #10 Share Posted January 26, 2020 I think it is worth it. Lots of fun. If you find a ship wth 2 consecutive sailings that are Premier, you can use the offer twice for a Back 2 Back Cruise. Double the gifts. can anyone tell me about the 16 day premier cruise? sgttami Posted January 26, 2020 #11 Share Posted January 26, 2020 The Premier cruises I've gone on were free, except for port charges. I just got back from the 14 day Journey on Pride that was an Elite cruise (free for me also) and got another offer for Premier for March 1 and 15th. (free) I'm passing on those however...The FREE cruises are killing me...$$$$$$$$$$$ LOL
Scurvy Seadog Posted January 26, 2020 #12 Share Posted January 26, 2020 All of my premier offers since 2014 have been with a room rate of $0 + taxes and port fees. Offers have ranged from interiors to balconies. They have always come with DOU cards for myself and a travel companion as well $300 to $1000. The question was if the OP should take that deal. and if the difference is a couple hundred and they get DOU, I’d say it’s worth it. I’ve never had a normal sale better than a premier cruise. But it doesn’t mean others haven’t.
