neilrr Posted January 28, 2020 #26 Share Posted January 28, 2020 Make sure you are in GOOD shape -- The city is beautiful BUT it is all hills and mountains... My Partner and I are in good shape and it was tough... We also noticed there were no older people -- we joked that they all croaked from the walking...😁 Good luck!!! Rare Jim_Iain Posted January 28, 2020 #27 Share Posted January 28, 2020 One thing to keep in mind is Portugal is on Western European time zone (an hour before most of the continent). Depending on your cruise you may have a time zone change the night before or night after Lisbon.
boom_boom Posted January 28, 2020 #28 Share Posted January 28, 2020 Agree that Sintra, Cascais tour is great. We just hired a cab at the foot of the gangway and negotiated a day-long tour price. Was one of the best I've taken in Europe.. Also, Castelo St. Jorge was worth the effort. took a local bus up and worked our way back in the heart of town on foot. We took their tour several years ago and had one of the best excursions we'd ever had!
