Star aft cabin

At present for our Alaska cruise we are booked into Star  C739, almost completely aft. I now see that the adjacent cabin C743 which is the last one and has an access door beside it has become available. For anyone who has been in these cabins are there any advantages, better views, or disadvantages, noise, or being overlooked, or any other comments as to whether we should change. Many thanks for any help.

I think the access door you see is a crew stairway.

Used by passengers only during the initial muster drill.

It has never been as issue as far as foot traffic or noise etc.

I've been in C742 before.  Yes, the balcony is angled so a bit larger. Star-Princess.jpg

Another post mentions the door you are seeing is not for passenger access, that is true.  It's only for the crew.  The one thing I noticed is that since it is at the end of the hall, we noticed the room steward's cart hit up against the wall with a thump behind our headboard from time to time.  Ours would park it there while servicing the aft facing cabins.  Otherwise, it was a good cabin.
