Galveston Hilton properties

Hoping a Galveston expert can help us decide between Hilton and Doubletree, both on the island.  Won't be spending much time there, but would like to have options for a quick dinner after we arrive around 8pm the night before our cruise.  Anyone have opinions on which neighborhood has the best choices for dinner and breakfast (if the hotel buffet looks undesirable).  Have status with Hilton and using points if that makes any difference.

Both Hotels are good and have good walk able restaurants close .  Take Hilton if you have points .  Believe both have transfers to terminal. Double check. Doubletree is owned by Spot owner who just open a Holiday Inn next door to Spot . .Spot is hot spot for  a drink.!

Thanks!  Seems funny that Hilton is 1k less points than Doubletree... and neither mention a shuttle to the port.  Not a big deal and it appears to be quite close and a cheap Uber/Lyft ride.

We like the Hilton have stayed there a couple of times , nice little bar, a couple of blocks from San Luis hotel which has a great steak house and a piano bar , highly recommend dinner there.

I Both hotels are fine and in good areas
