Can passengers ride the "Crew Shuttle Coach"?  Would we be able to get off the ship in time to get on the 0900 shuttle (We are not Ds)?  We are renting a car from Hertz ( I think the shuttle gets us near that) and then driving to to see Highclere Castle for a tour.  We are doing this on a Monday and Google Maps shows its about 34 miles and 40 minutes and plan to be back in plenty of time for when the QM2 heads to Hamburg.  Thanks!!

They do seem to be flexible about passengers using the crew shuttle. But just so you know, there is also a shuttle specifically meant for passengers. Here are excerpts from the descriptions I have from QM2 daily programmes last November.

"A double decker, wheelchair accessible shuttle service will be in operation from 9:00am between the ship and the West Quay Shopping Centre. ... Transfer time is approximately 15 minutes each way. Departures will be approximately every 30 minutes; (on the hour and half past from the ship; quarter past and quarter to from West Quay.) ..."

The last departure from West Quay depends on the ship's departure time. That's typically been 45 minutes prior to the all-aboard time.

There is a $6.00 charge each way to use the passenger shuttle for those booked on UK Saver Fares. If you have booked a US fare or a UK Cunard Fare, then there is no charge. They do scan your ship ID card when you board the passenger shuttle just in case a charge applies.

Yes, we've taken this 'one day ashore' B2B.
QM docked, on time, at 06:30 am.
We took the train and were standing in London before 10:0am.
Seriously.
We spent the day on and around the River Thames (Waterloo rail station is very close to the river and there is a passenger boat dock right there). Lots of sights and a nice lunch, too, al fresco on a riverside patio.
We had a wonderful day and were back in time to reboard the ship.

PS: it didn't rain!
