Option of either cash refund or 100% FCC + $600 OBC per cabin. I think you are on target, $600 OBC will be very attractive to Carnival cruisers, at least me for one! Problem is I cancelled and rebooked my 4-3 Vista cruise to 7-25 a week ago, hopeful the OBC will apply to me too, shouldn’t be penalized because I understood the severity of the situation before Carnival was forced to pull the plug. Same with me. We were booked on 4/4 Breeze. I cancelled it earlier today online, then called Carnival and rebooked and they applied the FCC to the new booking. Just submitted the forms to hopefully get the $600 OBC. I assume they will give it to me -- the letter they sent does not address it and I cancelled the same day they did. Rare roxievegas Posted March 14, 2020 #103 Share Posted March 14, 2020 I had booked two cabins. I booked through a travel agency, and have not heard anything from them. My son/wife/2 kids in the second cabin received the email from Carnival and he forwarded it to me. I will be contacting the TA tomorrow and requesting 100% refund (hubby and I paid for both cabins). I would consider doing the FCC, but two weeks ago, the price of our cruise had gone down in price and we could have saved $700, but they would not adjust our price, they did give us a higher category cabin oceanview deck 5 to deck 7, but I am tired of chasing the lower rates and being told you can not have it after final payment. i will be booking last minute from now on - if I get on the ship fine, if not that's okay too

Best to read the fine print on your individual policy. Many have a force majeure provision that excludes pandemics, etc.

mbarker10 Posted March 14, 2020 #107 Share Posted March 14, 2020 We have decided to take the refund this time. We originally were out of Baltimore, took the credit to rebook out of Miami. Our window is closing to take a vacation, so not going to risk it. I'm so sad.

Everybody is calling with their questions, but they can't handle the volume, and the answers they give are conflicting or inaccurate. It's time to stop, take a few weeks, make the new policies and terms, then get everyone in the company up to speed so that they can really help their guests.
Joebucks Posted March 14, 2020 #109 Share Posted March 14, 2020 I feel very fortunate to have come back from my cruise on Thursday. Crazy timing!
