Cabins beneath the casino?

Above and below the casino are the two worst spots for sound in my experience. The music is loud and stays on the latest. It sounds like your is deaf neighbor has his tv from 8:00 AM to 4:00 AM. It’s not ear shattering but you can hear the lyrics of the music. A tv blocked it out, though i hate sleeping with the tv on.

Compared to some hotels, it’s not too bad, but as far as cruise cabins go, not great. I’ve stayed above the night club and below the comedy club before and they were quiet. Maybe the engineers put more thought in design for those.

Some would say deck 1 cabins are loud but it’s a different type of noise that you can get used to vs music when your brain recognizes/reacts to. I book inside, mid ship deck 1 or 2 if I can because you can’t beat the sleep quality and we’re all mobile enough for stairs still. They are cheapest usually too so win/win

I'm looking at Outside cabins on the Legend that are under the casino.  Do I have to worry about the noise?  Thanks!

We were above the blackjack tables on two different Conquest class ships and never heard a peep from the casino. No people, no slots, no live music, nothing. Last month, we were above the Alchemy Bar on Horizon and never heard a sound. With that said, I think being BELOW certain areas could be riskier. Foot traffic, crew rolling carts and things around, etc. I think you're more likely to hear that stuff when you're below it.

Cruise Critic doesn't allow the link to this website, but do a google search for "cabin check tool." It should be the first search result, a site called cruisedeckplans. Pick your ship, then the deck, and a cabin and that tool will show you exactly what is above & below that cabin.

I found an additional resource for cabin selection that has extended descriptions for some ships (Legend seems to have decent details). I cannot link to it, but look for cruise advice (it’s an “org” domain). A button near the top for “ships” lets you select the legend and then click on “picking a cabin”.

I learned that my particular cabin on the Ecstasy is in a gap between under the show room, and under a more public area (it’s under some of the shops).
