miss-heli Posted April 24, 2020 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2020 We are booked on the Azamara Norway cruise departing 21st August from Southampton. The balance is now due. I am certain this cruise will not happen but unsure if I pay the balance that Azamara will offer a cash refund. Due to my husband's underlying health issues FCC will not be of any use in the near future. Maybe I should just cut my losses and forfeit my deposit ??? marinaro44 Posted April 24, 2020 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2020 Check to see if final payment has been pushed into May. Our August 6 cruise now has final payment on May 8.
Bloodaxe Posted April 24, 2020 #3 Share Posted April 24, 2020 Only you can decide but in my opinion to many things are uncertain at the moment to give a cruise line more of my money. I almost booked that cruise myself a few months ago but decide to wait, now pleased that I did.
laser2000 Posted April 24, 2020 #4 Share Posted April 24, 2020 We are booked on the same cruise. Contacted our TA who has put the final payment date back to 16/5. If there is nothing forthcoming with Azamara regarding their FCC's being linked with ABTA's Refund Credit Note requirements I will cut my losses and lose my deposit. Not sure I will use the deposit FCC for a cruise next year as this cruise isn't planned for 2021. Although I doubt if the cruise will sail, something in the back of my mind says........ It only visits one country Norway. No flying for Brits (sorry USA). Norway is starting to open up (will Hurtigruten be operating......perhaps yes). Azamara are small ships and it wont be full. Cruise companies need some positive PR
