I'm aware of these intermittent opportunities, but they are too complex for my simple mind.  But I wish that weren't the case because I like up-scale travel and I like money.

For flights I usually transfer points the airline programs Chase does transfers to. I always transfer points to the Southwest program for Southwest flights. Their portal is pretty good for flights too but transfers are usually better.  One of the intermittent opportinities right now on the Reserve Card you can get 50% bonus points if you buy Apple products thru UR. That can be a good deal. I would not buy  iPadsor iPhones that way but I have bought iPhone cases, cables and other acessories that are not usually on sale at Amazon, Best Buy or Costco.
