Hi Redshine,

 

The only way to know for sure if they cover COVID-19 is to ask USAA.

 

I looked on the USAA website and I don't see that they offer a travel insurance plan.

USAA uses Travel Insured as their carrier [via USAA General]

 

For last fall's crossing, I bought TravelInsured via the TripInsurance Store web site.  I had a medical claim [QM2 med center] against the policy, and the Travel Insured web site displayed a USAA banner.

Back in 2008 I bought travel insurance from the USAA web site, and the carrier was Travel Insured - it looks like that account linkage is persistent.

Steve covers default in this thread. Basically, he says that if you booked with a TA then Yes. I f you booked directly with the cruiseline, then No. The key words in the default coverage is 3rd party.

I used USAA/Travel Insured for a Cunard cruise scheduled on 17 March and a post cruise tour.  Since I never used the insurance, I called and the full cost was refunded in 2 days.  Still waiting on a refund from Cunard.
