The "activities" that are being put on cruise ships.

 

RCCI has anounced that the new Freedom of the Seas will have a BOXING RING.

 

Now you can take that altercation over cutting in line at the buffett or hogging a chair and "Fight it out" fair and square!

 

Where do they come up with this stuff?

What they don't tell you is that it's on top of the rock climbing wall which is surrounded by the skating rink. So you have to skate to the rock climbing wall, climb the wall in your skates while carrying your boxing gloves, just to teach that chair hog a lesson.:D

I'm still waiting for NCL to pull the old SS United States out of retirement and make it into the first cruiseship fast enough to be used as a waterski-boat!

I see the S.S. United States almost every day- it's sad the condition she

is in I was told the interior is completely gutted of anything saleable.

I'm positive there is a market for a fast nostalgia cruise ship I only wish I had the cash to buy her and Syndicate the refit.

I had just moved to Norfolk the winter before her interiors were tripped and auctioned off - I was just a poor boy back then, but I wish I had had some money to purchase a few things from her...

I stole a toy off her when I was aboard as a brat. It was a block ... one block. It's green. I think Mom and Dad still have it.

I came over to the US with my parents from Germany aboard the SS United States in 1957. I don't remember anything, I was one year old :confused:

I came back from England on the United States in 1953 and, unfortunately, I was old enough to remember most of the trip. Of course, the thing that sticks out in my memory is that it was the first....and luckily last....time I got seasick on a ship. In that sense green is something the RevNeal and I have in common about the SS United States. :)
