Oasis of the Seas.... Chat feature?

Hello all!  In hopes of actually cruising again... when the Oasis came out of amplification.... was the new FREE onboard chat feature (via the app) installed for onboard use?  Looking at a large group cruise and this would really help us decide ... thank you!!

No.  It wasn't present in December 2020 post-amplification.  

 

The beta testing remained exclusive to Allure and Harmony.  

 

Someone recently noted the chat icon appear for non test ships during the CV-19 break.  There is speculation that was more testing being done absent of guests on board but we won't know until cruising resumes.

Don't decide based on the chat feature of the RCI app - even if available, it may not work or work the way you think it should.

All ships were supposed to have it rolled out by the end of the year, but I highly doubt that will be happening now.

Weirdly enough, the IT folks at RCI are still at work - the app has had a version upgrade during the shutdown and Explorer may be added after her drydock next month.
