I love it! Well, I’ve always loved using the phrase “Queen’s English”, so of course I doubly love hearing it used by somebody else!!

 

Triply because I have my own first Cunard booked for next year.

Apropos of all of this, today's (Oct. 6) Washington Post has a review of “Gobsmacked!,” in which writer and language commentator Ben Yagoda explores how British expressions are steadily creeiping into the American lexicon. I'd post a cite to the review but I don't think the WaPo will allow it.  (Bother, that.)
