Reykjavik disembarkation

Hello - we're scheduled for a cruise that disembarks in Reykjavik after an overnight.  What is the process for disembarkation - do we go through Customs or does that happen at the airport?  Does this port allow self disembarkation where we carry our own bags off?  Trying to figure out if we can catch a flight to London at 10:45 AM if we can walk off at say 6 am or would we have to wait until Customs opens.

Thanks!

If you have an issue, it will be with Immigration, rather than Customs. And that will depend on where your cruise stops prior to ending in Iceland. But, generally, if a ship spends an overnight, it is cleared when the ship arrives the day before, so you can tour that day. Does your ship stop at any other Iceland ports prior to the final night? Most likely any Immigration and Customs arrangements are made then.

Not a problem leaving the ship early - plan to leave the ship at 7 am.

Recommended check-in time is 2.5 hours before departure - check-in closes 45 minutes before departure.
It’s a 45 minutes drive from Reykjavík to Keflavik airport.
