yay!! xray is showing break is aligned, dont need surgery.it will heal on its own, with wearing the splint. dr will see me in 2 weeks for more xrays. so was able to make next appt a bit more than 2 weeks, so we can still go on cruise!

what ship do you have on june1?

Good news your trips still on!  Nice having the mini fridge in cabin to keep gel packs cool

if you need them. Good luck during your trip and with your Diam perks too.

The Princess casino will be offering free drinks while playing in the casino once you reach 1500 points.

This is a new program and is gradually being rolled out to the entire fleet. By the end of September should be available on every ship in the fleet. Ask your casino host if it is available on your sailing when you sail. Heard its already on the Enchanted.

Seems  Princess is taking a page from NCL. Especially with New Levels, and when they expire.

Drinks...For those who don't get, or buy Plus perks? 

Once you hit a certain # points onboard, you get drinks anyway.

I haven't booked the transport yet.... that came as a text to setup with that company.

But the second question they asked was what Perk we might like?

I went outside the box and asked for Salon, and type of hair appt asking for?

It was Approved and listed in return email. 

So far so good.

Wondering how your Diamond experience went on the early June cruise.  We got email last week asking if we wanted transport and picking our perk for our August Alaska trip.  This was first we heard of being Diamond status.  Just got a flyer in the mail today.  Already have a January 25 cruise booked so not going to take advantage of their February 25 offer with the gala.  You said Diamond perks will be for all cruises through 2/25?  Yay for us!

Diamond experience went well.  I've done both the Parking perk and Drvn perk.

Pickup is a Very nice perk especially if you have a long way to go...

If you only need a short taxi/uber ride?  meh.... I would try to use Parking perk.

 

The car that picked us up was like clockwork both directions in London.

Driver with a Black Mercedes both ways, to our hotel in Southampton,

and again on the way back to Heathrow. He held up a sign and texted me when he was waiting for us after customs.

I was kinda nervous about the execution of being driven, but they texted

me or emailed me updates which was appreciated.

 

On the ship I was given Diam. perk of a $300 voucher for Salon, or spa.

Then asked Host again during trip and was able to attend the Winemakers dinner which was a highlight.  Very well done.

Don't be afraid to ask for outside the box for add'l. perks IF youre a good player!

 

Heres the thing.... Once onboard, it totally depends on how your Points/play level is, to get additional perks. Can ask Exec.host, but it also helps to talk with other players, especially those also receiving Diam. perks. 

You can usually tell because they put Your play to shame. LOL

 

But the upfront perks included in Diamond, came without issue.

Since that time I have booked several more cruises to fit in with Diamond level timing.

On the enchanted June 1, hubs got the free spa treatment & free parking. For the parking,they did ask for a receipt of what we paid, & gave him it back in cash. I purposely made a copy of it, in case they asked. (On Carnival elite cruises, he gets free parking also, but there they dont ask for a receipt. They give everyone who parks, the cruise parking garage amount in cash)

Thanks for headsup....so you were already emailed invite for Gala dinner next year?

I haven't heard anything, but got a 4th of July email from exec host yesterday.

So guessing that means Not Diamond for next year.  ok.

If thats the case? 

There isn't really incentive to play much on upcoming cruises.

Just got the invite in the regular mail,2 days ago, so maybe you'll get one a bit later to the west coast.Did you go last year? its the cruise & hotel stay, or hotel stay then cruise. we couldnt go last year as well.

Yep, we live in S FL, & like that we can drive to the ships. But we do go on a ship from L.A., about once a year, as my son moved from NY to LA  5 yrs ago.This way, we can visit them & the grandkids.We went on the Discovery in Dec. to Hawaii, & our next will be Alaska from LA  Aug '25.

Going, we can get a nonstop flight am, from FT Laud. But returning after the cruise, we cant have a flight till after 12noon. One time our flight was delayed at LAX, & we missed the connection- when we finally got to Charlotte. Had to stay overnite in airport there. No hotels as it was a big basketball weekend there. At least American gave us miles for 2 free tickets for our trouble.

Wondering when you, or anyone else, received their invite for Gala Feb. 2025?

I contacted my host, but since she just got back from vacay, asked for more

time to "calculate"....... Not holding my breath for Diam past Feb. 2025.

 

So I'm wondering How are others approaching their Current princess casino offers?

Are you booking comp stay, but paying for Plus perks?  Booking comp as standard?

Booking fewer cruises?  Sailing with other cruise lines?

We are currently booked with one offer with Princess for 2025.  All offers we have are for interior cabin and little play money, so not interested since we have been on all the cruises they offer out of L.A.

we have suddenly gotten offers from Celebrity, but all the casino offers are out of Florida, and we have done those cruises also.

So for now we care not booking anything.  Will go on our Alaska cruise in 2025 and see what offers we get, if nothing special, we will not book.

We just finished our first comp cruise in an inside cabin, because our 'bid for upgrade' scale didn't elicit an upgrade offer. It was fine. Not going with plus or premier either because it doesn't add up for us.

We did upgrade from interior to deluxe OV because we had some selection having used our CVP for the booking. For 2025, we're holding to see what the climate is like, post election.

We received the notice that my husband had been updated to Diamond Status and was invited to the gala/February cruises right about July 4th.  He has since received notice that he has been upgraded to Elite status with Princess also.  Just got another Hearts cruise offer a couple of days ago.

I got the hearts offer too. Been in a hearts cruise once. Not impressed by the gifts. Some towels and a picture of the ship painting on a metal canvess for wall hanging. :))) No idea who thought that would have been a good gift.

Yes I have never been impressed with the gifts. Bad wine and candies. If I see one more chocolate covered strawberries I will get sick

The so called 'gifts' seem a little underwhelming. (The sort of thing one leaves behind on the ship). Doesn't fit with the hype.
