Breakaway and Getaway on the move!

"Recently we carried out another important operation on board of the Norwegian Breakaway and Getaway where aluminum funnels were lifted on top of the cruise ships existing constructions we had completed before.
The weight of the private house sized aluminum funnel block was about 37 tons with the height of 10 meters and width of 18 meters. The lifting height on top of the ship is up to 60 meters. New funnels were sent from the factory to the port of Marseille by ship.
SRC provides steel and aluminum construction, structural solutions, piping installation, surface preparation and coating, as well as project management for Norwegian Cruise Line. Materials for completing the task are purchased throughout Europe."

Some better footage than we've seen before!

Here's a more up close of an almost finished installation, including white boards surrounding the new structure.

The good news is that Spice H2O still show on both ships.  No race track crap or laser tag crap.

That means the rock climbing wall has been removed, and possibly the rope course (but I believe it can be re-installed)?

It seems so! (at least to me :classic_biggrin:)

The blue/dark purple "bars" forming the funnels on the new parts also seem(ed) to cut off/ready to be extended upon completion. Which would make nice spot for the NCL shield logo, that's coming back for sure.

Glad to see the ropes course back up on Breakaway, photo taken appr. at the turn of the year. Took a while to find something but finally succeeded finding a picture. :classic_biggrin:

Shield logo will also be back on, the preparations/mounting bars are clearly visible.

Some recent Breakaway photos. Seems there's still some scaffolding and work to be finished on the Hulk funnel:

Wonderful pictures, thanks a lot!

Can we confirm that the rock climbing wall is already removed? I believe so but still cannot see very clearly from the 1st and 2nd pictures.

To me it looks like it’s now gone and that there is that space at the back left open, for a climbing wall?

Further there are two openings which could function for a climbing wall? Epic has a similar setup?

BA is still advertised with a wall so.. :classic_cool:
