As expected the 2021 World Cruise is cancelled, so no Whispering around the World next year.

Any news regarding December 2020 cruises? They are still shown on SS website (as well as the 2021 WC by the way!). Thanks.

Silversea will send the official notice to the world cruise passengers today or tomorrow. At that time we will possibly know whether the December cruises are included in this round of cancellations.

 

From the experience of previous cancellations, even though the passengers are already informed that the cruise is cancelled, Silversea website is not updated immediately.

In light of everything COVID world wide seems like smart but disappointing decision......There is always hope for 2022.

Strange.....World Cruise cancelled and today received a survey for a new World Cruise  based upon Uk and Mediterranean testing out thoughts on the itinerary for Spring 2021.!!

Always said Silversea crew on Board Are the Best,but Silversea back office are the opposite.Prefer it that way if they can’t all be top class!

Not strange, they have been trying to put together a Mediterranean Grand Voyage running April to a June on the Whisper as a sort of replacement for the World Cruisers. Details on the SS FB page yesterday.

I am supposed to board Silver Shadow on December 4, 2020 and have not received any mail from SS regarding a cancellation of my cruise. So I guess that only WC 2021 is cancelled at this stage but not December 2020 cruises.

We're booked on the Whisper from NYC at the end of the World Cruise so that's probably going to be impacted also.  Very cautious about purchasing air also.  It's just all a big old mess.
