Looks like Silversea is considering potential changes to their loyalty program.  Nowhere in the survey was there any mention of linking or providing benefits amongst the various Royal Caribbean Group companies.  In addition, no potential reward (Amazon gift card, etc.) or direct monetary payment ($5 or $10, etc.) was provided to entice potential respondents.  Below are the questions as they appeared in the survey.

Considering that SS is effectively classless, the idea of obtaining Venetian days credit for the amount of money spent is, IMHO, a bad idea.

I do wonder sometimes just what SS marketing is up to as we never seem to get any surveys, and as long term SS cruisers I would hope our opinion matters.

I imagine they are trying to figure out how to apply an airline frequent flyer program based on spend like Delta, United, or American, to the Venetian Society.  I would argue, an airline program is a completely different beast tied to a radically different product.

In the airline world, the tangible benefits of spend are primarily service oriented (early boarding access, confirmable upgrades, no ancillary fees, etc.) related to rewarding the most frequent consumers of the product, not just those who fly a lot of miles.  For example, someone who flies commercially multiple times each week throughout the domestic network has a different set of needs than someone who flies less than once per month internationally, or even 10 times per year, or less, domestically.  How SS would apply similar service oriented benefits adapted to cruising seems misplaced to me as the value equation is dramatically different.

Hypothetical as far as I am concerned.

SS never email me. I have checked my marketing preferences, and I have spoken to head office.

Now’t .... not a sausage..

Strange😏

My wife however 😏 I suspect they email her and get her to persuade me?

Me  too Silver Spectre -- many days on board and I don't have the survey, nor do I have interest in most of the incentives listed by the original poster.
